Child hanging from building by head rescued at last minute
This is the heart-stopping moment a child dangles from the seventh-floor window trapped by its head as a brave man risked his life to clamber down and free it.
The child had apparently been able to crawl out onto the bars of the anti-theft window when it slipped through them, with only its head left holding it from a fall to certain death.
However, passing chauffeur Li Dahui, 34, realised what was happening, and gained access to the side of the building from the flat above before clambering down to rescue the child in the city of Foshan in Guangdong, China, on June 18.
Hanging down from the room above he scrambled to the child using a fire hose, and he then managed to stand on the windows below and put the child back up through the gap to safety.
Li said he had just gotten off work when he realised what was happening and that as he was a father himself, he had rushed to help.
A staff member at the Foshan Le'an Community where the incident occurred, that the child's parents happened to be out when the incident occurred, and they only learned about it when they came back.
After they were informed, the family took the child to the hospital for a checkup and were given the all-clear that no damage had been done.
