Flash floods caused by heavy rainstorm collapsed houses and swept away numerous vehicles in eastern China.

The dramatic video was filmed in Huangshan City in Anhui Province on June 20.

In some regions, single-story buildings were almost entirely submerged, with only the rooftops peeking above the waterline, creating substantial distress for local residents.

In the early hours of June 20, at 6:10 a.m., the Huangshan Meteorological Observatory issued a red alert for heavy rainfall. Forecasters predict that thunderstorms, with the possibility of heavy downpours, will persist over the coming days.

Rescue and relief operations are currently underway, with efforts being conducted in a tense but orderly manner.
