STANDUP (English): TIAN ZIJUN, Xinhua correspondent
"In the past several days, heavy downpour has caused severe water logging in many parts of the city of Guilin in south China's Guangxi. Yesterday (June 19), about 500 people were stranded in Nanxishan Hospital as the entire first floor of the inpatient department was submerged underwater. The hospital first took immediate action to relocate those affected to the building's second floor and above before emergency response teams arrived at the scene and helped transfer all those stranded to safety with the help of inflatable boats."
