STORYLINE:

The 13th Chinese medical team to Papua New Guinea recently came to the landslide-hit Yambali village to provide free medical services for locals.

During the two-day free clinic services, Chinese doctors treated about 160 villagers.

"This medical team came to help us, give us medicine, to the sick people. We are very happy. We are happy to meet these guys. They gave us some good medicine, and we get a lot of help from these guys. Thank you!"

"We thank you for Chinese men. They come here to help us in Enga province. We would like to say thank you for cooperating with us, help us in Enga Province. Thank you!"

Enga Province Governor Peter Ipatas came to the free clinic and appreciated the medical treatment services provided by the Chinese medical team to the villagers affected by the disaster.

On May 24, a massive landslide hit the Mulitaka area in Enga Province. More than 2,000 people were buried alive, with the total affected population estimated to reach about 8,000.
