A brave man leapt into the water to rescue a trapped driver from a drowning car in southern China.

CCTV footage filmed in Pingxiang City in Jiangxi Province on June 17 shows a car suddenly losing control and plunging into a pond, drifting further from the shore as it slowly sank.

The driver was trapped inside, and the situation grew increasingly dire. Hearing the commotion, villagers rushed out of their homes to investigate.

Upon seeing the car sinking, a man named Wu Xianghu wasted no time and jumped into the water, swimming towards the vehicle.

During the rescue, Wu discovered that the driver’s side door was locked. He swam to the passenger side, using all his strength to open the door and pull the trapped driver out. With the assistance of other villagers on the shore, the driver was successfully brought to safety and was fortunately unharmed.

The rescued driver expressed immense gratitude to Wu Xianghu and the other villagers involved in the rescue, calling them his “saviours.”

吴相虎在救援过程中察觉，驾驶位的车门已经锁死，他直奔副驾驶位，用尽全身力气拉开了车门，终于将困在水中的驾驶员拽了出来。在岸边其他村民的协助下，被困司机被成功救上岸，所幸并无大碍。

被救出的驾驶员对吴相虎和其他参与救援的村民感激不已，称他们为自己的“恩人”。他表示，如果没有这些热心人的帮助，后果不堪设想。
