I was flying out to meet my girlfriends in Vegas for a fun few days! I unfortunately chose spirit airlines because it was a reasonable price. I should have known! They kept delaying the flight. After being delayed 2 times it was around 9:30 pm they announce the flight is completely canceled. From what I heard it was because the pilot “timed out” and they didn’t have another pilot to take over. The customer service reps knew they were in for it and they were right. This man and is wife/girlfriend went ballistic on the customer service girls and things escalated as another passenger got involved to stick up for the poor girls. The guy gets more and more angry until finally security arrives! The first guard tried to calm him down while the second guard arrives full Segway full irritation. That did not in fact deescalate anything. The guards brought the couple over to talk more right in front of me by the end. It seemed like they ended up calming down enough that they were able to talk. I’m not sure if they got in the no fly list or not!
