1,000 cyclists chase the sun from Kent to Somerset, UK
One thousand cyclists are 'chasing the sun' from Kent to Somerset, UK today (June 22).
The riders set off from Minster on Sea, Kent at sunrise and hope to reach Weston-super-Mare, Somerset by sunset.
The annual 205-mile ride across England is known as Chase the Sun (South) and has been established since 2008.
The event is held as close to the Summer Solstice as possible and is non-competitive with riders set off in small groups to minimise disruption.
Footage shows the start at Minster on Sea seafront and cyclists crossing the Kingsferry Bridge as they left the Isle of Sheppey.
