Stornoway, UK - June 21, 2024.

In a heartwarming effort to aid two stranded seal pups, British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) has launched a campaign to transport them safely to Caithness Seal Rehab & Release. Discovered without their mothers at Stornoway airport, the pups, whose arrival is unusual given seals rarely have twins, have already received veterinary care.

"The adorable little pups were found yesterday at Stornoway airport with no mums around," BDMLR shared in a social media plea. "They've been to the vets and are currently making their way to Caithness Seal Rehab & Release."

The rescue operation, spanning 182 miles including a ferry journey, requires financial support for fuel and transportation costs. BDMLR urges the community to contribute through donations to facilitate the safe transit of their medics and the pups to the rehabilitation center.

"This journey will ensure these pups receive the care they need," BDMLR emphasized, underscoring the critical role community donations play in wildlife rescue efforts. Contributions can be made via the link provided in BDMLR's bio, ensuring vital support for the ongoing mission to safeguard marine life in need.
