Claremont, Los Angeles, CA, USA – June 22, 2024.

CHP and LACoFD received multiple 911 calls of a traffic collision with one person trapped on the westbound 210 Freeway just before the North Towne Avenue exit in the city of Claremont. Once officers and firefighters arrived on scene, they located a white vehicle with one person trapped in the backseat of the vehicle. Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to open the door and transport the rear passenger. The rear passenger was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. Two other people inside the vehicle were also transported with minor injuries. The driver of the semi was assessed by firefighters, but not transported. CHP only had the carpool lane and the fast lane open for westbound lanes of the 210 Freeway.
