A monkey was discovered at a train station walking on a train track.

Patarapol “Lotter” Maneeorn posted a video of the monkey at the sky train station in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 20, asking for more information.

The move came after Twitter user Red Skull shared a video of a monkey, questioning whether it was a captured monkey from Lopburi.

Patarapol said that according to brief information from the 1362 hotline of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation, they regularly receive requests to capture monkeys at train stations like Bang Wa station and in the Greater Bangkok area.

He mentioned that sterilized monkeys from Lopburi would have a tattoo with a code.

Patarapol speculated that the video might have been captured by a train employee and asked for more information regarding where and when the monkey was spotted.

The skytrain employee later revealed that the video was captured by a female passenger at Bang Wa BTS station at 8.23 AM.

The passenger subsequently reported the sighting to the BTS Skytrain Line group.

However, the Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation is awaiting confirmation from the stationmaster and will deploy personnel to capture the monkey immediately if it is spotted again.
