Pint-sized volleyball player with dwarfism looks like a schoolgirl on match against adults
This pint-sized volleyball player might look like a schoolgirl - but she's able to play alongside fellow adults twice her size.
Felbert Pem Puriran, 21, was born with a genetic condition dwarfism that caused her to have shorter than normal skeletal growth in Manila, the Philippines.
Footage shows Felbert serving the ball for the game. She was the smallest in her team but played with them well against their opponents, who were also significantly bigger than them.
Mark Angel Dublin, who was Felbert's classmate back in high school, said: 'She was small but always gave her best. She even played as a setter for her team.'
Dwarfism is a medical condition characterized by short stature, typically defined as an adult height of 4 feet 10 inches (147 cm) or less. It can be caused by genetic mutations, hormonal disorders, or other medical conditions.
