Firemen rescued a walker who fell into a raging river and clung to the wall.

Footage shows the emergency services arriving on the scene with their truck to start the rescue operation in Guizhou, China, on June 23.

While they set up the ropes, good Samaritans created a human chain to keep the man from being swept away.

One of the firemen, wearing a life vest, scaled the side of the wall and assisted the resident to a life ring before he was pulled to safety.

Heavy rains in large part of China have led to severe flooding and landslides, resulting in at least 47 deaths according to state media reports last week. The downpours caused historic levels of flooding in the southern region.
