A man narrowly escaped serious injury after slipping from rocks while climbing near a waterfall in southern China.

The video was filmed in Qingyuan City in Guangdong Province on June 21.

Reports indicate the man was visiting the Guanyin Mountain Scenic Area when the incident occurred. Initially swimming in the pool beneath the waterfall, he later attempted to climb against the current to reach the source of the waterfall. Without any protective gear, he proceeded in just his underwear and barefoot.

Upon reaching a height of approximately 10 metres above the water, he lost his footing while preparing to turn back, slipping due to the slippery conditions. During the fall, he collided several times with the cliff before landing in the pool below.

Witnesses described the man's actions as dramatic, yet fortunately, he sustained no serious injuries. After falling into the water, he quickly swam to shore and was safely assisted by onlookers.

据了解，事发当天，该男子在广东清远观音山风景区游玩。他原本在瀑布下方的水潭中游泳，之后却突发奇想，试图逆流而上，攀爬至瀑布的源头。在未采取任何防护措施的情况下，他仅着内裤，赤足踏上了攀爬之路。

然而，当他爬到离水面约十余米的高度后，准备折返时由于脚下湿滑，突然失去平衡，从高处滑落。在坠落过程中，他连续撞击了几次石壁，但最终落入下方的水潭中。

目击者称，虽然男子的行为看起来惊心动魄，但幸运的是，他并未受到严重伤害。落入水中后，他迅速游向岸边，并在旁人的帮助下安全上岸。
