Amusing footage of a Grandma freaking out after finding a relatively large snake in her basement.

The video, filmed in Illinois, USA on Sunday, shows the reptile on the floor in the laundry room while a woman can be heard screaming hilariously in the background.

The filmer later wrote online: "My mom (grandma) went to the basement to do laundry and asked us if we were messing with her and put a fake rubber snake in the laundry room.

"I looked at my husband puzzled and he shook his head; no he didn't and then we ran to basement and realised that it was in fact a real snake."

"My mother (grandma) is deathly afraid of snakes and started freaking out and so did I," she continued.

"It was all pretty funny and scary and gross at the same time.

"I know I double check every time I go into the laundry room now and I'm pretty sure my mother will; she hasn't been down there in a couple of days."
