Six elephants intruded into a villager's home for food in southwestern China.

The CCTV footage was filmed in Pu'er City in Yunnan Province on June 24.

According to villager Aliche, the elephants consumed corn and pig feed from his yard before leaving. The area surrounding their village is dense with pristine forests, where elephant sightings are common, but entering homes is unprecedented and bold.

Residents typically apply for insurance compensation if property damage occurs. Yixiang Town government stated they utilise a specialised elephant alert app to closely monitor elephant activities, issuing timely warnings to villagers to ensure their safety.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
