Nezahualcoyotl, Mexico - June 22, 2024

This Saturday, June 22, 2024, the third march of the LGBT+ community took place in the municipality of Nezahualcoyotl, State of Mexico. The contingent left the famous Hungry Coyote monument, emblem of the municipality, and travelled along important avenues such as Chimalhuacan and Lopez Mateos until reaching the Municipal Palace.
Adolfo Cerqueda, re-elected mayor of Neza, led the movement, which was attended by thousands of people. On his X account, formerly Twitter, he wrote: "What an honour to be part of the third Pride March in Neza! Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate. May the fight for our rights continue because everyone deserves to live with freedom and pride.

Holding a march for the sexual diversity community in Nezahualcoyotl is a relatively new tradition, and it is thanks in large part to the administration of Cerqueda, who is the first openly gay mayor.
On this occasion, the municipality was graced with the presence of iconic guests, such as Kenya Cuevas, one of Mexico's most important activists and advocates for the trans community. Likewise, the famous influencer Wendy Guevara was present in a float, as well as Kimberly "La Mas Preciosa".
