A cheeky goat chased away hikers relaxing on a picnic bench at a mountain in the Philippines.

Footage shows the animal charging at the girls enjoying the view from wooden seats under a tree in Cebu City on February 28.

It climbed up the bench to drive them away, and the tourists fled to a hut with their friend.

One of the visitors, Krisly Jade Teo, said: 'We were trying to set up camp after hiking, and the goat approached us. It didn't look friendly and chased us away.'

Goats, particularly males, exhibit some territorial behaviours during the breeding season. They establish social hierarchies within their herds and may defend their space, food sources, or young. However, goats are generally less territorial than many other animals.
