CCTV shows the moment the ship that crashed into the Baltimore bridge finally began sailing home after being repaired.

The Dali cargo vessel lost power, veered off course and destroyed the Francis Scott Key Bridge, killing six construction workers, on March 26.

Engineers have cleared the debris from the wreckage of the bridge and the 106,000-tonne ship has been repaired. Eleven of the ship's 20 crew are staying in the U.S. to aid with the investigation into the crash.

The U.S. Coast Guard said: 'The Dali is scheduled to transit directly to Virginia International Gateway to have roughly 1,500 cargo containers offloaded to reduce draft.

'The vessel is then scheduled to transit further to Norfolk International Terminal, where it is slated to undergo continued salvage and repairs from damage caused during the bridge collapse.'
