On the morning of June 18, the entrance to Changchun No. 106 Middle School, northern China, was bustling with students arriving for school. Traffic officer Chen Zuobing was on duty as usual, managing traffic to ensure the safety of the students. However, the ordinary morning took a tense turn.

A large truck was speeding north to south, with the driver continuously honking but seemingly oblivious to the students and parents crossing the zebra crossing. In a split second, Chen Zuobing rushed forward, using his body to shield the students from the oncoming truck.

Due to the truck's high speed, Chen Zuobing was struck and pushed back repeatedly but managed to bring the truck to a halt on the zebra crossing. As a result, two students and one parent crossed the road safely, without injury.

The driver was later taken back to the traffic unit by Chen Zuobing for safety education. He was fined 100 yuan and given three penalty points for failing to yield and stopping on the pedestrian crossing.

由于车速过快，陈作兵被大货车撞得连连后退，最终迫使大货车在斑马线上紧急停下，2名学生和1名学生家长安全通过马路，毫发无伤。
事后，肇事司机被陈作兵带回中队进行安全教育，并因未按规定让行、人行道不停车让行被罚款100元、记3分。
