Firefighters rescued a dog trapped in a gate after it attempted to jump over a wall to access food inside a church in India.

Video filmed in Kerala on June 26 shows residents using a wooden stick to try to free a dog trapped between the bars of a gate, but they failed.

After the fire and rescue station officials arrived at the site, they used a hydraulic cutter to carefully cut through the gate bars and free the dog safely.

A Senior Fire and Rescue Officer said that a local resident, Suresh, noticed the distressed dog and alerted the Adoor Fire and Rescue Station.

The rescue team, led by Station Officer V. Vinod Kumar, along with Senior Fire and Rescue Officer Aji Khan, S. Santhosh, V. A. Prajosh, A. Anish Kumar, and Rajeev, promptly arrived at the scene. The team ensured the dog's rescue without any harm.
