A video taken on a graduation ceremony in Dalian University of Technology in Liaoning province showed an exuberant turn when a graduate brought out champagne to celebrate the occasion on June 18, 2024.

The confident and cheerful graduate engaged in lively conversation with his mentor, pulling out champagne flutes and a bottle right during the degree awarding ceremony. 

They toasted to the graduate's achievements, sipping champagne together. The professor was visibly delighted to participate in this festive and somewhat unconventional celebration, marking a memorable moment of camaraderie and joy at the graduation event.

The graduate said that since drinking is a traditional way of celebrating in both Eastern and Western cultures, he hoped to mark this important moment in his life by inviting his teachers to join him in a toast.
