This is the moment three men enjoying a meal are sent reeling backwards with one of them partially blinded after a lighter left next to a hot portion of rice explodes sending the food on the table flying.

The CCTV video was recorded as the three were enjoying a meal in the city of Zhumadian, in Henan, China, when the man left the lighter resting on a superheated pot of rice on June 18.

The temperature was too much for the lighter, and after about 10 minutes it exploded, sending grains of rice and other food scattering across the table, leaving one of the men temporarily blinded.

As the other two stared at the debris of the meal, the third one walked off with his arms outstretched like a zombie because he could no longer see.

It was reported that he eventually regained his vision and the problem was only temporary.
