Guy mixes plays recorder while BEATBOXING with epic skill
A music lover spiced up the humble recorder - mixing the flute-like sound with human beatboxing.
Jayvee Cabcaban was in a shopping mall with friends when they walked by a karaoke booth and he could not resist grabbing the microphone to perform his authentic mix of street music in Manila, the Philippines on April 29.
Footage shows Jayvee making melodies with the wind instrument - a staple right of passage for children at primary schools around the world - while he imitated hip hop type drum and bass sounds with his mouth.
He performed for more than a minute with his friend holding the microphone to his mouth.
Jayvee said: ‘I played the flute with some beatbox in public. The staff allowed us to do the mic test with some music. I was always a bit bored at school playing the recorder so I learned how to improvise.'
Beatboxing is a form of vocal percussion in which a person uses their mouth, lips, tongue, and voice to create rhythms, beats, and musical sounds that mimic drums, drum machines, and other instruments.
