Brown Bear Finds the Perfect Back Scratcher
Occurred on July 19, 2022 / Katmai National Park and Preserve, Alaska, USA
Info from Licensor: "This bear uses anything to help scratch those tough-to-reach areas. At the end of the video, you can see her cub trying to copy mom scratching. Unsure why she is doing it, but willing to do anything mom is. *Note, bears are known for rubbing on objects for a few different reasons. One reason is called scent-marking to communicate, mostly on trees. Another reason is to remove hair or simply scratch a tough-to-reach area, which seems to be the case here. Luckily, the bridge post at Katmai National Park works great for this bear."
