A homemade alcohol explosion in a fridge sent its door flying open and liquid spewing out in eastern China.

CCTV footage filmed in Huainan City in Anhui Province on June 26 shows the fridge bursting with a loud bang, sending its door flying off and spraying liquid across the floor and sofa.

Initial reports suggest that the woman had been storing homemade alcohol in the fridge. It is believed that during fermentation, a large amount of gas was produced, causing a rapid increase in internal pressure and resulting in an explosion.

She quickly removed a plastic container from the fridge and dealt with it efficiently.
