2024 Summer Davos creates opportunities for future cooperation

The Summer Davos Forum connects people and ideas from all over the world.

This year's annual meeting in Dalian attracted over 1,700 representatives from more than 100 countries and regions. The forum featured approximately 200 events and nearly 50 meetings were livestreamed online. These figures set a new historical record.

Farnaz Behroozi, Head of Pharma, Huma:

"In my sector, I had a great opportunity to connect with leaders from the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) and from the Asia region, leaders and pharma... and have discussions and dialogues of how can we partner, how can we deliver value and deliver more predictive and proactive care delivery to the hands of the patients."

Participants shared their insights on economy, technology and innovations, under the theme – "The Next Frontiers for Growth".

And one of the most crucial frontiers for growth is green economy. The Summer Davos Forum aimed to encourage more societies to embrace sustainability through its own actions.

"All the electricity used in the conference center is 100 percent green power, which means they are generated with zero carbon emissions. And the schedules of meetings and sessions are paperless. They are all on our phones."

For new-energy related companies, the forum is a platform to create opportunities for future cooperation.

Qian Jing, Vice President, JinkoSolar:

"I'm looking for strategic partnership with other industrial players, for example, how to adopt the AI and other digital technology into renewable energy sectors. We have some fruitful talks with some AI companies and the software companies. I think there we have very in-depth dialogues. We are looking for some the future concrete cooperation among us."

For most of the attendees, the three-day event is just a gateway to future opportunities. Follow up communications and execution of relevant initiatives are what they look forward to next.
