As the hairstylist was about to begin blow-drying a customer's hair, the hairdryer malfunctioned and started emitting a series of sparks.

The startling occurrence alarmed both the customer and others in the salon, prompting them to move away from the area quickly.

The salon manager explained that the hairdryer, which had only been in use for a year, had not come into contact with water, but the wires in the handle were prone to "exploding" due to friction.

Fortunately, it did not burn the customer's hair and nobody was hurt.
