Four-year-old girl rings bell to signify end of chemo treatment
This is the moment a four-year-old girl finally rang the bell to signify the end of her chemotherapy treatment.
Alexa, four, was first diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukaemia
- a rare form of cancer found in the blood and bone marrow - in February 2022.
She received weekly chemotherapy treatments at the Broward Health Medical Center Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.
She was also admitted into hospital several times when she became unwell.
Heartwarming footage shows Alexa being led by her parents to the bell, surrounded by applauding family and staff.
Alexa was also awarded two medals
- one for ending the chemotherapy and one for being a "super survivor"."
Nearly 30 family members joined the medical team to celebrate this milestone.
