STORYLINE:
Two thousand people demonstrated Friday in the streets of Lyon, two days before the first round of the legislative elections that will take place Sunday in France.
"Everyone hates fascists," "Youth hates the National Front" or "We are all anti-fascists," the demonstrators chanted anti-fascist slogans while walking the kilometer and a half of the demonstration route.
As the French are called to vote this Sunday for the first round of the legislative elections, numerous rallies against the far-right have been organized in cities across France.
Several demonstrations have been organized in Lyon since June 9, the day the French president announced the dissolution of the National Assembly, leading to the organization of new elections.
This Friday's rally was organized by unions, students, political parties, and associations.
