Stray cats have a chance to find a new home at this pet cafe that allows customers to adopt them.

The Cat Cafe was established by government workers from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration at the Benjakitti Forest Park Museum.

Footage shows the rescued strays playing inside the shelter which also served food and drinks. Instead of playing with the felines for only a day, visitors could ask to take the moggies for adoption.

The city's animal control centre helped build the project which aimed to take more strays off the streets.

An officer said the cafe aims to improve 'the economy, education, health, sustainability, and transportation'.

They said staff at the Cat Cafe check potential adopters for the felines's safety in terms of pet care, housing, preparedness, and love for animals.
