A promotion event of Chinese tea culture is underway in Amman, the Jordanian capital, with music and dance performances and ethnic costumes on display featuring the distinctiveness of southwest China's Yunnan Province.
The "Tea for Harmony" cultural salon is a global event aimed at promoting Chinese tea culture.
The event in Jordan runs from Sunday to Tuesday. The opening of the event attracted more than 300 participants from China, Jordan, and other countries and regions.

"For the Chinese, tea serves multiple roles. The spread of tea drives exchanges and fusion among civilizations. 'Tea for Harmony' is designed to serve as a medium for greater cultural exchanges and people-to-people friendship."
Yang Cheng, deputy director of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, proudly introduced six tea processing techniques and associated social practices of his province, including the traditional Pu'er tea processing techniques and the three-course tea tradition of the Bai ethnic minority.
