Fisherman's catch stolen by red-crowned crane at Chinese lakeside
On June 25, 2024, in Baicheng, Jilin, a fisherman experienced an unusual wildlife interaction that left him both amused and frustrated.
While enjoying a successful day of fishing by the lake, the man found himself sharing his bounty with an unexpected guest—a crane, specifically a red-crowned crane, known for its striking appearance.
The crane took advantage of the freshly caught fish laid out by the fisherman, helping itself to several. Unable to deter the protected bird, the fisherman was left to swallow his frustration as he watched the crane feast on his catch.
