Husband crawls through his neighbour's sewage-filled pipe to rescue her missing kitten
This is the heartwarming moment a husband crawled through his neighbour's sewage-filled pipe to rescue her missing kitten.
Ek Phannarong went on all fours inside the stomach-churching channel to retrieve the poor cat in Siem Reap, Cambodia, on June 27.
Footage captured by his wife, Deth Kimchheng, shows him inching through the narrow sewer to grab the black feline.
Moments later, he successfully rescued the poor furry creature, who was soaked with grime and dirt.
According to Deth, it took them two hours to remove the animal from the canal as they had to remove the drain cover to get it out.
The cat is now under the care of the couple.
She said: 'Other people might find it disgusting, but my husband was willing to crawl in the stinking sewer to save a kitten. Their lives are important too.'
