A TikTok video by user 'dezbian' has racked up over 2 million views, capturing the hilarious and heartfelt journey of trying to clip their rescue poodle's nails.

The 'paw'rents' have struggled with various methods, including a muzzle, treats, swaddling, Benadryl, and an e-collar, all to avoid the dog's extreme fear and trauma.

'Dezbian' told Newsflare: “We’ve been trying to clip our dog’s nails without experiencing extreme fear and trauma for years."

The poodle, adopted from the Humane Society, had a rough start, making socialization a long and challenging process. Despite some success with an e-collar, the dog became more aggressive over time.

The latest attempt involved using saran wrap, which ended in a humorous failure. Now, 'dezbian' is pinning hopes on an air harness for the next attempt before considering a vet visit for medication.

We have been trying to clip our dog’s nails without experiencing extreme fear and trauma for years. He was a rescue. we adopted him from the Humane Society and it took us years to even socialize him. He must have had quite a traumatizing experience when they found him on the streets. We have tried clipping his nails using a muzzle several times. We have tried treats, swaddling and using a towel, Benadryl and an e-collar or a cone. we have had success with the cone 3 times but then he started getting more aggressive. We just learned about an air harness so we are going to try that next before we take him to vet to request meds. It’s been a long journey but we now know we will have to take it slow and be patient when we try to clip his nails next attempt with an air harness! Our saran wrap idea and experiment clearly failed!
