Tourists visited an incredible blue lagoon hidden deep in the jungle in the Philippines.

Footage shows the holidaymakers taking pictures with the crystal clear natural turqoise water in Surigao del Sur province on June 29.

The lagoon, locally called Hinatuan Enchanted River, is located in the middle of the forest and is inaccessible by road. Only tuk-tuks and motorcycles can make the journey.

Visitor Kim Adams Jamilo said: 'The enchanted river has become a popular destination during school summer vacations, with many eager to swim in its cold, crystal-clear waters.'

The Enchanted River, also known as the Hinatuan Enchanted River, is a deep spring river located on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. It has become known for its crystal-clear, bright blue water that seems almost unreal.

The river earned its name 'enchanted' from a poem written by a diplomat named Modesto Farolan. Locals also have many legends about the river, attributing its beauty and unusual properties to fairies and other mystical creatures.
