Fried chicken seller looks like K-pop dancer Lisa
A fried chicken vendor became a local celebrity for her striking resemblance to K-pop dancer Lisa of the girl group Blackpink.
Fresh-faced university student Yeewa, 17, from Samut Prakan, Thailand, earned compliments for her similarities to the global superstar, with her bangs and round eyes.
Yeewa's mum, Benyapa, 36, said the young lady usually stays in Phichit province, where she studies at the Taphanin School.
When she is on school break, Yeewa helps out at her mother's stall.
The proud parent said: 'Other vendors and customers have said that Yeewa resembles Lisa, which makes me happy for my daughter.
'After it was noticed on the internet, she called me and said she felt a bit shy because there were so many comments praising her.
'My daughter enjoys the entertainment industry and she often participates in school activities related to it. She is interested in pursuing a career in this field.'
Yeewa, speaking on a video call, said: 'I feel happy and nervous about being compared to a celebrity whom I admire. Many people remarked on my looks and even took some photos with me.
'If given the opportunity, I would also like to start a career in entertainment.'
Blackpink's Lisa, born Lalisa Manoban, is from the northeast of Thailand, striving to be a rapper, singer and dancer. She has had minor success in Asia but remains relatively unknown in the developed world.
She recently closed a street in Bangkok's Chinatown for her music video shoot for her new solo 'Rockstar'. She reportedly paid each vendor around 540 USD each to close early.
