STORYLINE:

A summer camp themed on the Flying Tigers  is currently underway in China.

Around 70 American teachers and students from New York, San Francisco and other U.S. cities visited the Flying Tigers museum in China's Kunming.

The Flying Tigers, formally known as the American Volunteer Group of the Chinese Air Force, was formed in 1941 by U.S. General Claire Lee Chennault.

They came to China to help the Chinese people to fight the invading Japanese troops.

SOUNDBITE 1 (English): MITCHELL HINRICHS, American student
"I think it is really cool to actually be here and see and to experience everything about these Flying Tigers, how they helped to fight against the Japanese and help to (assist) in the relationship between America and China, to continue this legacy of working together as Americans and Chinese, and to keep it going. It's a really great thing."

SOUNDBITE 2 (English): IAN L BERNSTEIN, American student
"Visiting the Flying Tigers museum in Kunming, Yunnan Province, is truly inspiring. It highlighted the courage and sacrifices of the Flying Tigers during WWII, showcasing their vital role in strengthening the bond between China and the United States. I think this experience really deepens my appreciation of the legacy and enduring spirits of the international cooperation."
