A girl was left in tears after a sika deer kicked her for scolding it over spilled corn in eastern China.

The CCTV footage was filmed in Hefei City in Anhui Province on June 27. Upon witnessing the deer knock over a bag of corn, the girl rushed to pick it up, remarking, "You knocked it down, so now you won't get to eat, right?" In response, the deer kicked her, then nonchalantly resumed grazing as if nothing had happened.

Upon learning of the incident, the girl's father, Mr Zhang, took matters into his own hands and chased after the deer to avenge his daughter. "I was furious when I saw what happened. After all, my daughter was just trying to help," Mr Zhang expressed.

Fortunately, after a medical check, his daughter was confirmed to be unharmed.

The deer, aware of its misbehaviour, retreated into the woods and refused to come out.
