A bungling motorbike rider and his pillion passenger crashed through a sign as they tried to make a turn into a gas station.

CCTV footage shows the pair ramming the signage and a barrier before being thrown off the two-wheeler in Roi Et, Thailand, on June 9.

Both did not wear helmets but were fortunately unhurt. Employees rushed to help them out of the ditch with puddles.

Thailand has one of the world's worst road safety records. Ministers have set the goal of reducing fatalities from 32.7 deaths per 100,000 people to 12 per 100,000 people by the year 2027.
