Angry wild elephant attacks oncoming car in Thailand
An angry wild elephant charged at an oncoming car on a road in Thailand.
Footage shows the jumbo taking fast strides while swaying its trunk towards the vehicle in Prachuap Khiri Khan province, Thailand on March 29.
It did not hit the car and walked away as the driver asked his female companion to calm down.
Jacky Gridchaya who was on the passenger seat said: 'Around 6pm, we drove out of Pa Lau forest and saw the male elephant come out.'
Thailand has up to 3,500 elephants in the wild. The population has been increasing in recent years, but it is still a fraction of the estimated 300,000 wild elephants that lived in the country at the beginning of the 20th century.
