Frenzied market sellers charged through the entrance of a second-hand goods store to get first dibs on discounted items.

Footage shows the chaotic opening of the shop as dozens of customers raced towards shelves and cabinets in Surat Thani, Thailand on June 30.

While most of the buyers were small store owners who wanted to purchase stocks, there were also some families who only went for casual shopping.

Nevertheless, the excited customers ran and shouted as they dug through piles of bags, clothes, and even kitchenware.

One of the storekeepers, Kanokporn Rakdet, said: 'They shopped like there was no tomorrow. It is a common sight whenever we have new arrivals.'

Second-hand stores are popular in Southeast Asia due to their affordability. These stores cater to developing economies and budget-conscious consumers. They also appeal to environmentally aware shoppers and those seeking unique or vintage items.
