This is the moment a bottle of home-made 'plum wine' explodes blowing open the fridge door and covering the kitchen in a sticky mess.

The incident happened in the city of Kunshan, in Jiangsu, China, on the evening of June 26.

The video shows the door blowing open and a jet of wine that caused the damage erupting into the room, soaking the floor and the sofa.

A woman in a red T-shirt then ran over and removed the plastic bottle where it appeared that the cap had been blown off by the pressure inside the bottle of the fermenting wine.

The owner of the home, not named in local media, apparently admitted that too much yeast had been added, and it was a costly lesson because it took more than an hour to clear up afterwards.
