Police destroyed confiscated silencers by crushing them with road roller in southern India
In a recent incident in southern India's Telangana, police acted tough on modified silencers of bikes by ceasing them.
The incident took place in Sangareddy district on July 2.
Visuals showed silencers lined up on the road with police personnel standing nearby. The next set of visuals showed a road roller crushing all the silencers under the surveillance of police personnel.
According to officials, Superintendent of Police Chennuri Rupesh announced that criminal cases will be filed against anyone using modified bike silencers. He also stated that stern action will be taken against mechanics who install these illegal modifications.
According to reports, district SP Rupesh warned bikers not to remove silencers or install alternate equipment that causes noise & disturbs others on the road; mechanics who do the job also to be prosecuted.
