A father with lightning-fast reflexes caught his baby as he rolled off a counter in their shop.

Dad Nattawut Jangsatitkul briefly left the infant on the glass platform as he called a colleague but the kid moved backwards - sending him plunging to the hard ground.

Nine-month-old Leo was about to hit his head on the ground - and potentially suffered catastrophic injuries for such a fragile baby.

But CCTV shows how Nattawut spotted the danger in the corner of his eye and turned on his heels. He then dived down and caught Leo in one hand before he could touch the ground.

He put him back to the counter to check if he was fine and thankfully the baby was unhurt following the near miss in Pathum Thani, Thailand on June 30.

Relieved mum Sirada Jangsatitkul said: ‘My husband has very quick hands. I was relieved nothing happened to our son. But I told off my husband for leaving Leo unattended.

'We joked afterwards that he could be a goalkeeper for his favourite football team with reflexes like that.'
