This is the incredible moment a rhino effortlessly flipped a rival weighing two tons over while right next to jeeps.

Safari guests were treated to a rare sight as two male white rhinos encountered each other in Lake Nakuru, Kenya, on June 1.

As the two behemoths clashed, the older and bigger rhino, weighing around three tons, pushed its smaller rival backwards using its horn.

With higher ground behind its opponent, the aggressor flipped it not once but twice on to its back as the stunned guests watched on.

Rama Makombo, Entdecker Safaris, said: “I have been a guide for more than 20 years and have never seen this before.

“It is extremely rare for white rhinos to be aggressive like this. They’re very social animals and live in groups of two to six, sometimes with multiple males in.

“I honestly am not sure what could have caused one to annoy the other one so much to cause a fight like this.

“The fight might be territorial as each animal has its territory to secure or protect from outsiders.”
