STORYLINE:
"We have always maintained a positive attitude and strong confidence in the Chinese market," said a senior executive of a German water management company's China branch.
SOUNDBITE (Chinese): TANG PENG, Vice general manager at SYR Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
"SYR is a German brand founded in 1939. It has a history of more than 80 years and entered China in 1998. Our main product is related to pipeline tap water, which is called pre-filter. With the continuous development of the Chinese market, we have achieved very good growth. In 2014, we established a Sino-German joint venture. In 2018, we participated in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) for the first time. Since then, we have participated in all six CIIE editions. With such a huge scale and sustainable growth potential, the CIIE offers foreign enterprises a bigger platform. We also feel the tremendous momentum from the Chinese government in facilitating the development of foreign enterprises."
We have always maintained a positive attitude and strong confidence in the Chinese market. In 2023, we invested 50 million yuan (about 6.88 million USD) in Zhejiang to build our first production base in China, which manifests our confidence in the Chinese market. At the same time, we also pay attention to China's rural revitalization. This is also one aspect that we would like to work on."
