Egypt's non-oil trade balance deficit shrunk to approximately 6.4 billion U.S. dollars in the first quarter (Q1) of 2024, a 22.9 percent decrease from the same period last year, according to a report released on Sunday by the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC), an Egyptian think tank.

According to the report, non-oil exports in Q1 of 2024 had a total value of around 9.7 billion U.S. dollars, up approximately 10 percent compared to the 8.8 billion U.S. dollars recorded in Q1 of 2023.
