Culebra Island, Puerto Rico - A dramatic rescue unfolded on July 4, 2024, as a Coast Guard Air Station Borinquen MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter aircrew swiftly responded to Tortolos Beach to aid a 35-year-old woman injured after a fall from rocks.

The woman, who had sustained an ankle injury, was stranded following the accident before Coast Guard personnel initiated the rescue operation. Upon arrival, the aircrew skillfully hoisted her to safety and airlifted her to the local airport in Culebra.

Awaiting emergency medical personnel quickly attended to her, transporting her promptly to a nearby medical facility for further treatment.
