USA: Police Chase Armed Suspect on Scooter Through Seattle Streets

Seattle Police arrested a 30-year-old armed suspect who attempted to flee on a scooter in South Lake Union, Seattle, Washington on June 15th. The incident unfolded when patrol officers identified the man, wanted on a felony warrant, in the 200 block of Yale Avenue North around 8:23 p.m. The suspect, disregarding commands to stop, led officers on a chase on foot after crashing his scooter.

During his apprehension, officers discovered a loaded handgun, $800 in cash, and fentanyl narcotics. The suspect, whose name has not been disclosed, faces charges including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Narcotics, and Obstructing a Public Officer. The case has been taken over by detectives from the Gun Violence Reduction Unit, who continue to investigate, with the possibility of additional charges pending. The suspect remains in custody at King County Jail awaiting further legal proceedings.
