In the heartwarming footage, Mai is seen playfully exploring, initially trying to put its own toe into her mouth. Not quite satisfied, then turns to her mother, who patiently allows Mai to grasp her toe. Throughout the interaction, the mother macaque lovingly embraces Mai, ensuring her safety and comfort.
The Milwaukee County Zoo, in a statement accompanying the video, emphasized the strong bond between mother and child in the animal kingdom, noting that maternal care is always available to young ones.
